In 2014 ONHP established its new subdivision in Saint Petersburg – Research Engineering Center (REC) for area development and maritime spatial planning.

REC is headed by Mr. Pavel P. Spirin, PhD in geography, associate professor, ONHP R&D Director.

The issues of industrial and ecological safety in Nakhodka, where a petrochemical complex designed by ONHP will be constructed, were discussed by scientists, ecologists, journalists, representatives of the city administration and the staff of the industrial enterprises. Only this year there were about two hundred violations detected at the local plants that could have led to the environmental pollution. The main cause of such problems is the age of plants.

On August 12, 2012 there was held an unforgettable sports event combining two sports formats, the traditional Siberian international marathon in Omsk and the “Same day, same hour” marathon, confined with the 30th Olympic Games in London. Thousands of joggers and many supporters met in the square at the Legislative Assembly building waiting for the start.

On August 1, 2012 the Serbian school children started their internship at ONHP. As they arrived we showed them the institute. During this excursion they could choose the department for their future internship. The first day we told our guests about the foundation of Omsk, brought them to such historic sites as Omsk fortress and Bukhgolts square. They asked us questions and took an active part in the conversation. Our guests visited as well the famous History Museum named after Dostoevsky, they were entertained by the excursion and got interested in the historic facts.
