Serbian school children started their internship at ONHP

On August 1, 2012 the Serbian school children started their internship at ONHP. As they arrived we showed them the institute. During this excursion they could choose the department for their future internship. The first day we told our guests about the foundation of Omsk, brought them to such historic sites as Omsk fortress and Bukhgolts square. They asked us questions and took an active part in the conversation. Our guests visited as well the famous History Museum named after Dostoevsky, they were entertained by the excursion and got interested in the historic facts. Our friends paid a visit to the Minister of Education of the Omsk region, Sergey G. Alexeev, and had tea with him. The meeting was friendly and the Minister talked to our guests about the differences between the Serbian and Russian educational systems. The Serbian guests spoke about their choice of higher education institutions. Next day the guests paid a visit to General Director of ONHP, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Omsk region, Chairman of the Education, Science, Culture and Youth Policy Committee, Igor M. Zuga. On 04.08.12. the Serbian pupils had an excursion to the Achair monastery. They visited cathedrals, the Sacred Spring, attended to a christening at the Cathedral of St. John Chrysostom. The guests learned the story of the cathedrals construction and the images of saints were showed and interpreted to them. In their turn the guests spoke about the peculiarities of spiritual life in Serbia. The performance at Omsk circus was an event to remember. Zapashny brothers gave their show. The live orchestra which accompanied the show was particularly memorable. The 5th of August was the birthday of Omsk. Our friends attended a parade at Cathedral square, “Flora” flower exhibition, had a walk along Lubinsky avenue, later in the evening there was a concert of Laima Vaikule and a colourful firework. On 06.08.12. an outlook competition between the guests from the Republic of Serbia and schoolchildren from Omsk who took their internship at ONHP took place. The language barrier did not stop them from playing an interesting game and the contest of the two teams was hot. Both teams and the audience gave interesting answers to the proposed questions. As the teams were equally good it was decided that both won. We want to believe that all such events, from the meeting of the Serbian guests and the plot-knit team of our institutes and up to the excursions around Omsk, made their contribution to the strengthening of friendship and partner relations between the two countries. Gradually the internship of the Serbian schoolchildren at ONHP came to its end. On August 7 they had an excursion at Omsk cadet corps and learned the foundation history and some facts about the life of the pupils. After that the students visited St. Nicholas Cathedral. Next day our guests visited the Omsk State Technical University. At the University they passed through the rooms of the “Automation and Robotics” chair. In the evening they visited exhibition “Tea, Coffee, Chocolate” at the museum named after Vrubel where they learned many new things. We organized for our guests a trip to the waterpark of the recreation facility “Politotdel”. At the waterpark the Serbian guests went down waterslides and could relax in the Turkish hammam and the Finnish sauna. On the weekend our guests had their independent trip around the city of Omsk, make a ride on a motor boat along the Irtysh river and bought some souvenirs. On August 12 Omsk hosted the 23rd Mizuno International Siberia Marathon. All team of ONHP and the Serbian schoolchildren on the internship took part in it. The schoolchildren not only participated in the run but also took part in the competition of amateur performance together with the Company’s department team. On Monday our guests had an excursion at Omsk Oil Refinery Plant. They saw a new machinery complex. We wish our new friends to be successful in their studies and their work, keep the acquired engineering experience and get new one.
