Successful completion of 2019 ONHP summer internship
Summer season of Omsk school students’ internship ended in ONHP. During the period from June to July, 83 students were undergoing corporate training program for engineering personnel in the framework of “SCHOOL-UNIVERSITY-COMPANY”.
This year, educational organizations of Omsk Region also took part in the program. Students of Omsk, Kalachinsky, Kormilovsky, Sedelnikovsky districts schools came to the company for summer internship for the first time.
“I was very lucky to visit this company. I hope it is not my last meeting with ONHP. These one hundred and fifty hours were very productive”, shares her impressions Ms. Varvara Shishkina, a student of Keyzesskaya school of Sedelnikovsky district.
“I heard about “SCHOOL-UNIVERSITY-COMPANY” program from my class teacher. This was interesting for me and inspired to become acquainted with such professions as engineer and designer in detail, to try myself as a specialist of a big company. These moments could help me understand, is oil and gas sphere attractive for me or not. Some of my classmates wanted to apply for participation but changed their minds at the last second. I believe it was their mistake“, says Ms. Natalia Tkachenko another participant from Kalachinsky district.
Corporate program "SCHOOL-UNIVERSITY-COMPANY" has been operating for more than 15 years. Every year it is improved and transformed taking into account requirements of a modern employer, who wants to work with a newcomer that has interdisciplinary knowledge, cross-functional interaction skills, ability to work in a team, in a project mode, obtain and use information, to change his mind in relation to professional and personal competencies together with the industry where he works.
ONHP engineering training program forms all above-mentioned qualities. In the framework of internship, students have the opportunity to try themselves in various engineering specialties, become familiar with the latest software products applied for design, work on specific projects in a team, develop public speaking skills during Scientific and Technical Conference which is a mandatory part of the program.
According to 2019 season results, 40 school students received ONHP certificates giving them right to practice at the company upon enrollment into the University.
