ONHP sponsored young female athlete

Russian Athletics Championship among young people under 23 years of age was held in early March in Volgograd. Arina Moiseeva, a female athlete from Omsk, was on the entry list among other 400 participants. ONHP undertook to pay for the travel expenses of the young athlete to get to the venue.

This is not the first All-Russian competition involving Arina Moiseeva, a member of the Russian Olympic Athletics team. Indoor Russian Athletics Championship was held in February in Novocheboksarsk where the girl became a shot put silver medalist.

The athlete says one should participate as often as possible in competitions of various levels in order to improve sports performance. Arina Moiseeva and her mother asked Mr. Igor M. ZUGA, ONHP CEO to help arranging the trip to the championship in Volgograd. Mr. Igor M. ZUGA says that talented youth striving for leadership should be certainly supported.

During the Volgograd competitions Arina Moiseeva did not win a medal. But the sportswoman says she won’t give up.

- I’ve learned a good lesson. I have a lot to work on. New competitions lie ahead, and I will do my best to improve my results and make everyone sure that the Omsk Region has a good Athletics school,” said the sportswoman.

More than 400 persons from 57 regions of the country attended the competitions, within three days 239 men and 196 women competed for medals of the national youth championship.
