Internship for Future Engineers in ONHP

Forty students of Omsk Senior High Schools completed the internship in “OMSKNEFTEKHIMPROEKT” JSC (ONHP) under the Regional Program “School-University-Company”.

Season 2 of the internship was in July, 2013. Day by day during the month the interns have been performing tasks issued by ONHP engineers from various departments. Junior Professionals, as they are called in ONHP, attended ESP Courses and had a tour around Kalachinsk region. On July 31 Season 2 interns demonstrated their talents in the course of Summary Concert. Best performances are available for you on ONHP’s website:

3)      The song When I’m gone [Simple Plan] performed by ONHP Season 2,  2013 interns: Diana Matyunina, Regina Yanetskaya, Vera Petrova, Lyudmila Petrova and Polina Starkova; 

4)      Russian Gypsy Folk Dance performed by ONHP Season 2, 2013 interns. 

“School-University-Company” Program has been implementing in Omsk since 2001. Several companies of the region participated in this program. Straight from school, the teen-agers are getting ready for their future career: for engineering and technical jobs which are in high demand. Upon entering the university the best of former ONHP interns are invited to on-the-job training. After graduation, such Young Professionals are more likely to get employed as far as their knowledge is deeper; their professional skills are higher and more specific in comparison with other recent graduates. 

“We, hereby I mean ONHP, as a fast growing company, have been interested in employing highly-qualified job seekers.  Therefore, we create a strategic personnel pool by implementing the “School-University-Company” Program,” says Mrs. Irina KARELINA, ONHP HR Department Head, Cand. Sc. (similar to PhD in Psychological Sciences).

 “The interns got acquainted with ONHP departments and thereafter they performed very interesting tasks issued by engineers,” says Ekaterina ZAYTSEVA, an ONHP Season 2, 2013 intern, and she shares her plans with us “I would like to be an engineer and this internship means much to me. After graduation I want to get a job in ONHP.”
