Young Engineers Conference Held in ONHP
VI Interregional Conference of Young Professionals “From Design to Construction Engineering” was held in PAO OMSKNEFTEKHIMPROEKT (ONHP). Engineers from different Russian regions and for the first time in the history of the conference Kazakh engineers gave their reports and presented in Omsk their innovative ideas. Mr. Igor M. ZUGA, Member of Expert Council on the Arctic and Antarctic Region at the Council of Federation and Mr. Viktor I. BELOV, Minister of Industry, Transport and Innovative Technologies of the Omsk Region participated in plenary session.
It is the sixth time ONHP has become a conference platform which every year brings together more and more participants i.e. young professionals representing the leading companies of the Russian petrochemical complex. For the first time representatives of Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery (Kazakhstan) made their scientific reports at the conference.
As highlighted by Mr. Igor M. ZUGA “it is pleasant to realize that year after year this event is becoming more and more massive involving young scientists and engineers not only from the Russian regions but also from the neighbouring states. It means the recognition of this significant work that you do together for the development of Russian engineering”. According to him, such conferences are very important for the current phase of the Russian industry development when the target of import substitution has become so crucial.
The Expert is sure that "currently a significant portion of Russian engineering designs, advanced technologies and equipment come to Russia from abroad ... Without engineering staff involvement it is impossible to imagine operative solution of even one complicated target promoted by the new scientific, technical and economic reality. Today it is especially important to be able to turn ideas into advanced technologies. To do this, engineering companies shall take a place between science and the real sector of economy to implement research results”.
Mr. Viktor I. BELOV highlighted the significance of conference for the development of the Russian engineering. He thanked PAO OMSKNEFTEKHIMPROEKT for the hard work aimed at improving the qualifications of Russian engineers. In addition, the Minister noted the company's contribution into the development of the Omsk region industry and its increased appeal at the federal level. Thanks to the initiative of ONHP specialists III Congress of Engineers of Siberia was held in the region. In the framework of the International Exhibition of High Technology and Equipment for the Arctic, Siberia and Far East the field meeting of Expert Council on the Arctic and Antarctic at the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation was conducted, Senators, State Duma deputies, science and business representatives attended this event.
The conference was held in three sections. According to experts, evaluating the scientific reports of young professionals, all of them are very up-to-date and the majority of them are of applied nature, the examples were made based on specific units, software, devices used in the company represented by participants. Topics revealed in the reports are ecology, resource conservation and energy efficiency, construction and architecture, information technology, design of oil and gas processing facilities and a range of others.
Based on the results of the work the winners were selected in each of the sections. Moreover, the experts announced special nominations.
