A Tailored Trip For On-The-Job-Training Participants

July 11, 2013 the 36 participants of ONHP Program “School-University-Company” visited the Church of the Resurrection, took in Gymnasium No.1 and the State Museum of Regional History in Kalachinsk town (Kalachinsk area, Omsk region).

On-the-job training is annually held in “OMSKNEFTEKHIMPROEKT” JSC (ONHP) for senior students of ONHP sponsored high schools. During summer interim the junior assistants not only get acquainted with the company’s portfolio, but also take part in sport competitions and cultural events. Under the auspices of culturalization, on July 11, 2013 the senior high school students visited Kalachinsk town.

The first cultural destination was the Church of the Resurrection. After the Morning Prayer, the Bishop of Kalachinsk and Murmansk, Peter replied to teen-agers’ questions regarding life values, Omsk relics and he shared a story on church construction. The church was erected in the beginning of 90-ies by reconstruction of a private residential house. Several years ago a new church building was mounted on the site which later on became an architectural pearl of Kalachinsk town.

The senior high school students also visited local Gymnasium No. 1, which is considered to be the best educational establishment of the town. Several generations of graduates were raised within its walls. Due to overhaul repairs, the internal and external appearance of the building changed drastically. Nowadays, it is fully equipped with all the necessities required to ensure due quality of educational process.

Local residents cherish their heritage and share it eagerly with young generations. Therefore, a crucial point of the excursion was a trip to the State Museum of Regional History and the Glory Memorial. A statuary monument devoted to emancipators became the town legacy and a symbol of remembrance of those who sacrificed their lives for the future of next generations of Kalachinsk residents. Some special space at the square is allocated for the monument to the Hero of the Soviet Union, Peter OSMININ. Nowadays, his sibling sister lives in Kalachinsk. The locals treasure the memory of Peter OSMININ. The square also guards the “time capsule” with the message to future generations. The recovery of “time capsule” will coincide with the celebration of a century since the Great Victory (1945).

In the course of excursion, the ONHP interns managed to get more acquainted with the history of the town. They were able to get comprehensive answers to their points of concern. Each of the ONHP Program participants will express his/her emotions in a composition which follows the trip to Kalachinsk.

“I am as pleased as I can be with this informative excursion”, says Anastasia GOLFENBEIN, a senior student of School No. 140. “For sure, one day is not enough. Therefore, it would be a great pleasure for me to get back to this town once again”.

“It is evident to anyone that Kalachinsk residents adore their town. The locals’ countenances light with smiles. It was a great joy for me to learn so much about this wonderful town”, shares her emotions a student of School No. 73 Yana BASHINSKAYA.
