ONHP Awards to honor students and teachers
In 2016 more than 300 students graduated from 11 high schools patronized by PAO OMSKNEFTEKHIMPROEKT (ONHP). 36 graduates were awarded the Medals for Excellence in Studies. Mr. Igor M. ZUGA, ONHP CEO, congratulated the students, teachers and parents on this occasion. In solemn atmosphere he personally awarded honor students of four schools with Letters of Gratitude, money prizes and certificates to undergo on-the-job training in ONHP. Well-deserved awards were also given to the teachers of the patronized schools. Special gratitude was expressed to the parents.
It is a good long-standing tradition of ONHP to honor patronized school graduates. Each year the students with outstanding achievements in studies receive money prizes from the company and those intending to be involved in engineering are awarded the certificates to undergo on-the-job training in ONHP.
This year 36 honor students have received ONHP Awards. Many students have already decided on their future profession willing to enter universities to study engineering disciplines. Partly it is the result of active cooperation between the patronized schools and the company. For 15 years ONHP has been implementing ONHP-developed program “SCHOOL-UNIVERSITY-COMPANY” in the patronized schools. This unique program enables students to learn engineering basics starting from elementary school via robotics classes, continuous communication with ONHP engineers, Open Days held by ONHP to get children, parents and teachers acquainted with designing process and also through summer on-the-job training. Therefore it is no wonder that after such a long preparatory period most of the students know for sure what profession to choose when they start grade 11.
Graduates who received prizes and Letters of Gratitude from the company made no disguise of their happiness and joy while the parents and teachers were looking very proud of their children. According to one of the graduating girls, these awards certainly testify to the assessment of their learning performance, but first of all it is recognition of the work performed by their parents and teachers. “For 11 years our teachers have been both sharing knowledge with us and showing us how to overcome hardships with dignity, how to be persistent, how to be a good friend, how to discern good from bad. Thank you a lot, our dear teachers!” - says the girl.
This is why ONHP awarded the best students along with their teachers. “Teaching profession requires dedication and high moralities. You are an obvious example of the fact that professional success and recognition is achieved only by those who is worth it” - says the Letter of Gratitude.
Mr. Igor M. ZUGA, ONHP CEO, always considers it his duty to personally attend graduation ceremonies in the patronized schools. This year he has taken part in the solemn ceremonies of high school diploma awards in four educational institutions. He congratulated everyone on the graduation, thanked teachers, parents and principals for great joint work. Mr. Igor M. ZUGA thinks that each patronized school is unique and has things and people to be proud of.
