New Project Management Schemes by ONHP

ONHP specialists participated in III Russian Oil and Gas Summit.  A congress entitled Prospects for Russian Oil and Gas Complex Re-Organization was held within this Forum. During the congress representatives of the company made a presentation focused on EPC-Contracts: Application of New Project Management Schemes.

Mr. Igor A. LARIONOV, ONHP Chief Development Officer, emphasized in his speech that approach to project implementation using EPC model in Russia is in demand due to its obvious advantages when implementing challenging investment downstream projects. Moreover, it provides additional opportunities to Prime Designer companies breathing fresh life into them.

Basic approach to develop EPC in our country is to arrange integrated design and construction engineering and to bring it to a new level. Already today ONHP suggests approaches to EPC contracts execution in compliance with up-to-date requirements. According to Mr. LARIONOV, design engineering should be the starting point. “This is where all key solutions are made both for the purposes of project management and for the purposes of project implementation within procurement and construction phases,” said ONHP Chief Development Officer.

Within design engineering for each phase of EPC contract ONHP currently provides full range of necessary services starting from Project Design documentation, Detailed Design and field supervision to commissioning and ensuring compliance with project requirements.

Furthermore, Mr. LARIONOV said that business competences of the company are also of great importance. They include, in particular, participation in client’s investment programs, attraction of foreign financing, comprehensive engineering and application of international practices, competent project management and many other things required to successfully implement projects.
