New capacities of Tobolsk Neftekhim

Construction of Gas Fractionation Unit at Tobolsk Neftekhim Ltd (ONHP as General Designer) allowed SIBUR to achieve the largest capacity of natural gas liquids processing both in the Russian Federation and Europe.

In the second quarter of 2014 Tobolsk Neftekhim Ltd started up Gas Fractionation Unit (GFU-2) of 2.8 MTA feed capacity to process natural gas liquids (NGL). Project Design and Detailed Design Documentation for this unit was developed by Omskneftekhimproekt JSC (ONHP).

New section of GFU-2 is provided with all necessary utilities and auxiliary systems (drain, flare, emergency blowdown, methanol dosing) for independent operation. After the new unit startup Tobolsk Neftekhim Ltd doubled capacities of natural gas liquids processing up to 6.6 MTA and this fact allowed developing one of the world's largest capacities of gas fractionation at Tobolsk site.

Expansion of gas fractionation capacity is a part of SIBUR program to develop gas chemical facility in Western Siberia. It includes increase in associated petroleum gas processing, construction of 7 MTA new pipeline to transfer NGL from Yuzhno-Balykskoe Gas Treatment Plant to Tobolsk Neftekhim and other infrastructure projects.
