The Knowledge Day is the Most Important Day

Mr. I.M. Zuga, a member of the Council of Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, conducted an issue-related open lesson for pupils of Omsk schools. Children of ONHP employees were among such pupils as well. The lesson was held on September 02, 2014 under the auspices of the Knowledge Day.

Igor M. ZUGA congratulated the children with the beginning of a new academic year and told them about the history of Russian parliamentary system, cooperation between public authorities, activities of Upper chamber of Parliament and his personal contribution to the Council of Federation.

Senator discussed with pupils the significance of civil responsibility and capability to think independently, having a competent opinion based on gained knowledge. Igor M. ZUGA paid special attention of pupils to the development of engineering in Russia as an essential direction for technological and economic independence of our country. This part of the discussion was the most interesting and important for children as far as their parents are engineers.

The discussion at the open lesson also touched upon memorable dates of Russian history and culture, namely 100 years from the beginning of First World War, Annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol to the Russian Federation, a year of Culture in the Russian Federation.

Igor M. ZUGA answered pupils’ questions, wished them academic success and longing for new knowledge to become top-ranking professionals and have active social stand.
