Mr. Alexander Burkov, Omsk Region Governor visited ONHP head office. The region leader got acquainted with the company core activities and competencies, social and educational projects implemented in Irtysh region under ONHP guidance. As a result of the meeting the Agreement of Intent was signed between the Government of Omsk Region and ONHP aimed at the establishment of an engineering and technical lyceum.

This is the first visit of Mr. Alexander Burkov to ONHP. As highlighted by Mr. Igor M. ZUGA, ONHP CEO, it is not just a presentation, it is a real demonstration to the Governor of region resources and capabilities management procedure.

During the visit to ONHP, Mr. Alexander Burkov studied core company business activities and competences. Based on the example of designed companies and Gazpromneft ONHP JSC facilities implemented nowadays, ONHP technical and intellectual capacities were demonstrated.  The head of the region highly praised company activity.

What this company is doing is the demand of the future. World leading engineering companies are heading towards the same goal, assures Mr. Alexander Burkov.

Also the Governor reviewed Corporate Policy for Engineering Personnel Training Program “School-University-Company” which has been successfully implemented in ONHP for 18 years.  Among program participants are 43 schools of Omsk city and region, five basic universities of the region and higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Serbia. Program efficiency is confirmed by figures –about 70% of program participants chose engineering specialties and over 50% are enrolled at ONHP basic faculties. Currently, 190 specialists who managed to complete “School-University-Company” training program in different periods of time are working in ONHP.  

Traditionally, summer on-the-job training for students is held in ONHP in June-July which is a part of the program. During the visit Mr. Alexander Burkov spoke with the students and their supervisors. Among the trainees this year are also those who attend the internship not for the first time. The most active program participants received from the Governor Letters of Gratitude for significant achievements in studies and personal leadership in the selection of future profession.

Governor Letters of Gratitude “For dedicated work with students of educational institutions and high performance during engineering personnel training for the region economy and the country” were given to the supervisors.

Talking about the program, Mr. Alexander Burkov highlighted the necessity to share ONHP experience.

Implemented system gives the best result. Engineer is a person of special mentality. Such person shall be trained since school days or even kindergarten. Some pre-school students in special environment demonstrate specific capabilities. Such structured system is the future of all high-tech companies. Early selection of professional orientation is really crucial as far as it gives personal stability, highlighted the Governor.

The result of the meeting was Agreement of Intent signing between Omsk Region Government and ONHP related to the establishment of engineering and technical lyceum.

Formation of engineering and technical lyceum in Omsk – is the base for region young generation specialization aimed at the renovation and development of science-driven industrial complex of Omsk Region. Our long-term experience demonstrated that in modern world preparation of intellectual engineers require the organization of this process since young age and the moment of personality development, highlighted Mr. Igor M. ZUGA.

The Governor is sure that establishment of technical lyceum is one more link in the chain of highly professional engineering personnel training program.

The first step is already made. The decision regarding lyceum establishment is taken. Regional Ministry of Education starts the development of concept. It would be wrong not to use engineering competences which we have nowadays in Omsk. The whole country is supplied by our human resources. It is important that students nowadays are extremely keen on this topic, specified Mr. Alexander Burkov.

It is supposed that the lyceum will appear in the region by 2022 and will become one of the first training centers of such kind in Russia.
