DEVELOPMENT OF PREOJCT DESIGN AND DETAILED ENGINEERING DESIGN DOCUMENTATION FOR THE EXPANSION OF BROAD FRACTION OF LIGHT HYDROCARBONS PROCESSING

TOBOLSK-NEFTEKHIM JSC

Construction of Gas Fractionation Plant-2 at Tobolsk-Neftekhim (ONHP-General Designer) enabled SIBUR to ensure the largest capacity of broad fraction of light hydrocarbons processing not only in the Russian Federation but also in Europe.

In Q2 of 2014 Tobolsk-Neftekhim put into operation a Gas Fractionation Plant (GFP-2) on broad fraction of light hydrocarbons processing (SHFLU) with the capacity of 2.8 MTA of feed, the Project Design and Detailed Engineering Design documentation for which was developed by ONHP.

The new section of GFP -2 is provided with all the necessary utilities and auxiliaries (i.e. drainage, flare, emergency release and methanol feed systems) for independent functioning. When the new plant was commissioned, Tobolsk-Neftehim doubled the capacity of broad fraction of light hydrocarbons processing up to 6.6 MTA which enabled to create one of the largest capacity on fractionation at the Tobolsk site.
Expansion of gas fractionation capacities is a part of Sibur program on the development of chemical complex in Western Siberia. It includes the increase in associated gas processing, construction of a new pipeline with capacity of 7 MTA to transfer SHFLU from South Balyksky Gas Treatment Plant to Tobolsk- Neftehim as well as a number of other infrastructure projects.
