First step to found Republican Engineering Center
Students of Atyrau University of Oil and Gas arrived in Omsk to undergo internship at ONHP. This can be recognized as the first step in implementing the project to create Republican Engineering Center in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The concept of the center was announced within the 16th Russia-Kazakhstan Forum of Interregional Cooperation held in Omsk in November 2019. The center shall become a unique platform of competencies transfer.
Possibility to create Engineering Center was discussed within the 16th Russia-Kazakhstan Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Mr. Igor M. ZUGA, ONHP CEO, and Mr. Nurlan A. NOGAEV, who at that time headed the Akimat of Atyrau Oblast. The dialogue resulted in conceptual framework of the engineering center. The key idea is to integrate education, engineering and real production, and this idea is based on ONHP's great engineering experience, competencies of developing engineering personnel as a part of SCHOOL-UNIVERSITY-COMPANY corporate program and demand for high-class, multidisciplinary engineers.
Mr. Shukhrat A. DANBAY, CEO of Atyrau Oil Refinery LLC (AOR), supported the above initiative and took the first step to create Engineering Center together with ONHP. Therefore, ten students of Atyrau University of Oil and Gas who get AOR-sponsored education arrived in Omsk to attend an internship at ONHP production departments in March.
Engineering Center concept requires in-depth study and analysis, including additional involvement into the project of other Kazakhstan manufacturing enterprises project - extractive and processing companies – to form a complete cycle of engineering competencies. It is proposed to become a unique platform for the knowledge and practical skills transfer.
has to be thoroughly analyzed, involving a number of industrial enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan, upstream and downstream companies, in order to set up a full range of engineering competencies. Engineering Center is supposed to become a unique skills & expertise transfer platform.
