ONHP engineers raise competences in large-scale projects management

ONHP representatives successfully completed GazpromNeft program training aimed at developing competencies in large-scale projects implementation. The program was completed with a graduation speech where participants defended their works announcing strategies for a specific project implementation and proving investments substantiation (i.e. Feasibility Study).

Purpose of training program is development of managers' competences in the field of capital construction project management and making effective management decisions. The training was divided into three modules: “Contract Strategy for implementation of Investment and Construction Project”, “Project Management. Engineering, Procurement, Contract Administration"," Project cost management and cost engineering".

Company representatives successfully completed this training, after which they defended graduation projects. Program participants were split into project teams. Each team had to develop a strategy for a specific facility proving investments substantiation (i.e. Feasibility Study).  Expert committee included the leaders of GazpromNeft departments.

One of key program elements is the creation of an effective system to manage large-scale projects. According to Mr. Sergey E. LIPATOV, ONHP Interdisciplines Engineering Department Head, today oil refining companies have experience in implementing large-scale capital projects, but with the growth of one-time investments, new management techniques are required - it is necessary to enter another level. “This training allowed us to become more familiar with the best world practices in creating a project management system,” emphasized Anton D. REMNEV, ONHP Project Chief Engineer.
