10,000 cubic meter spheres by ONHP

PAO OMSKNEFTEKHIMPROEKT (ONHP) is prepared to construct spherical tanks (spheres) of various capacities on “turnkey” basis. Currently, the company is developing engineering design of 10,000 cubic meter sphere. Earlier, ONHP specialists had already developed engineering designs of 600 cubic meter spheres and 1,000 cubic meter spheres, as well as 2,000 cubic meter spheres and 5,000 cubic meter spheres for pressurized storage (0.245-1.746 MPa) of highly-flammable liquids, liquefied and compressed gases.

Economy is the main advantage of spheres against cylindrical tanks. According to ONHP specialists who have rich experience in designing such structures, steel shell of the tank stretches uniformly due to internal pressure which allows decreasing metal consumption by 40 %. Moreover, spheres require less space, less communications and less tank equipment. Sphere designs vary according to shell pattern cutting, types of bearings, shell-bearing integration.

High-quality design, BIM technologies, close partnership with reliable Russian equipment vendors enable ONHP to provide the Client with “turnkey” construction of such facilities within feasible budget and schedule including engineering interface services, engineering support of other process systems and facilities of the Client.

Projects already implemented by ONHP include spheres for isomerization unit at Gazpromneft-Omsk Refinery JSC, 600 cubic meter spheres for Zapsib-2 project in Tobolsk (SIBUR). 2,000 cubic meter spheres for AO ROSPAN INTERNATIONAL in Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and RN - Tuapse Refinery Ltd. (LPG tanks with seismic isolation bearings for butane, propane and butane mixture storage), and also a 5,000 cubic meter sphere for Yugterminalproekt LLC (Taman Petroleum Terminal).

Currently ONHP engineers are developing engineering design of 6,000 and 10,000 cubic meter spheres and soon they will be ready to propose the design to potential clients.
