Viva the Drawing!

On July 03, 2014 the awarding ceremony for the winners of the second Regional Olympics on electronic drawing among Omsk university students was held in ONHP.

It is not a secret that recently drawing has been out of sight in most of the schools therefore students at engineering faculties have to study this discipline and engineering graphics almost from the grassroots. In the meanwhile, engineers cannot exist without electronic drawing and spatial thinking may be and has to be developed long before the university.

ONHP is willing to develop interest among school and university students in electronic drawing which is the basics for any engineer and in tandem with PankovA studio of computer pictorial art, graphics and design and Magma non-state educational institution of further professional education arranges Regional Olympics for school and university students.

Participants of the three rounds of the Second Regional Olympics on electronic drawing were solving graphic problems on building of views, efficient section and isometric view of a component applying nanoCAD program (Russian analogue to AutoCAD).

Two Remote Rounds of the Contest determined 10 finalists: Sergey Vasilyev (2-year postgraduate student, Industrial and Civil Construction Faculty, SIBADI), Mariya Goncharenko (3-year student, Chemical Engineering Faculty, OmGU), Elena Guryeva (3-year student, Chemical Engineering Faculty, OmGU), Natalya Yurchenko (3-year student, Chemical Engineering Faculty, OmGU), Stanislav Rzhanitsyn (2-year student, Industrial and Civil Construction, SIBADI), Lyudmila Sheveleva (2-year, Industrial and Civil Construction, SIBADI), Anastasiya Utenkova (4-year, SIBADI), Ruslan Zhuravkov (2-year postgraduate student, Industrial and Civil Construction, SIBADI), Vladislav Minin (Chemical Engineering Faculty, OmGU) and Maksim Babidorich (1-year, Chemical Engineering Faculty, OmGU). They struggled hard to win in the final which was held on June 21, 2014 in ONHP.

On July 03, 2014 Olympics moderates in solemn atmosphere made a summary of the event, highlighted participants achievements, ONHP specialists demonstrated the examples of 3D-modelling applied by company engineers.

And eventually, the winners of the Olympics were announced:

The third place – Lyudmila Sheveleva (2-year, Industrial and Civil Construction, SIBADI).

The second place – Sergey Vasilyev (2-year postgraduate student, Industrial and Civil Construction Faculty, SIBADI).

And finally the first place – Ruslan Zhuravkov (2-year postgraduate student, Industrial and Civil Construction, SIBADI).

The winners were awarded with diplomas, souvenirs and certificates for free 3D-modelling courses.
