Rackets crossed! Let the Table Tennis Fight Begin

ONHP Cup Table Tennis Tournament was conducted on September 13, 2014 in ONHP lobby. Final games were dedicated to the Day of oil and gas industry workers.  

The heart-warming tradition of holding such tennis competitions at ONHP has a long-term background. Floors of this design institute are equipped with tennis tables, so that employees can practice every day during lunchtime and during coffee breaks, getting an energy boost and cheering up.

On early Saturday morning of September 13 a good deal of table tennis fans came to cheer up their colleagues. Mr. A.L.  Goncharov, ONHP General Director, wished good luck to the athletes and tournament participants crossed their rackets.

Participants competed for 5 sets of awards, namely male and female singles; male, female and mixed doubles.

Trying to meet the expectations of the fans, the engineers have demonstrated an exciting game, and the “fair sex” of ONHP held their ground to men in excitement.

Mr. N. A. Zadokhin became the winner of the table tennis tournament in men singles. Mrs. Tatiana Khardina won the championship in the female category. The best result in doubles was demonstrated by E.G. Gorobtsova and T.V.Sedova. S.V. Klimenko and P.A. Chernikov were stronger in men's doubles.

The winners in the mixed doubles were Elena Gorobtsova and Pavel Chernikov.

A sports events committee summarized competition results in other sports and awarded Mikhail Gorelov, the winner in two sports disciplines - in the game of Go and chess.
