ONHP to share experience in efficient HR management

ONHP specialists participated in the 10th HR Forum held in Omsk on March 28-29, 2013.  

Master-classes, roundtable discussions and professional trainings within two-day HR Forum were attended by State Authority Bodies representatives, by members of small, medium-sized and large businesses, by scientists and HR managers from Russia, Kazakhstan, Serbia and Japan. The Omsk Region governor Mr. Victor NAZAROV in his opening speech called Omsk HR Forum a solution envisioning environment for establishing efficient HR pool of Omsk Region. Head of Omsk region encouraged HR managers to get involved in development and discussion of regional HR Policy and proposed to participate in establishing regional system for personnel further training and skills improvement.

 Top-managers of the largest regional companies spoke out at the forum. OMSKNEFTEKHIMPROEKT JSC (ONHP) HR Department Head, Cand. Sc. (*similar to PhD) in Psychology Ms. Irina KARELINA took part in master class “Experience in efficient HR technologies development at large-scale Omsk enterprises”. She shared ONHP’s experience in efficient HR management with forum guests. In particular Ms. KARELINA announced Program “School University Company”. The efficiency and significance of this ONHP Program have already been highly appreciated in professional environment.

 

Training and coaching of young specialists is one of company focus areas. Since 2001 ONHP has been implementing the program under which, for instance, academic hours for technical or engineering-oriented subjects’ in school curriculum are increased. High school students have an opportunity to undertake summer internship in ONHP’s production departments. Each student’s successes are tracked by supervisors selected from young professionals. University students undergo paid on-the-job training and pre-graduation internship. The best ones get an opportunity to work flexible hours in company’s departments which accelerates professional adaptation of soon-to-be young professionals of the company. The most ambitious graduates get employment references. From 2009 to 2012 about 76 university graduates applied for a job in ONHP after internship and most of them since school.

Irina KARELINA’s presentation arouse keen interest among audience. HR experts, Omsk companies top managers and teachers asked questions and provided their feedback in respect to “School University - Company” program. ONHP international educational experience was specially appraised by master-class participants.

 

 The program “School University Company” is implemented with the support of educational institutions well-known all over the world.  OMSKNEFTEKHIMPROEKT JSC (ONHP) cooperates with University of Belgrade (the Republic of Serbia), Gymnasium No.9, Belgrade city (the Republic of Serbia), The Technical University of Dortmund (Germany), Atyrau Institute of Oil and Gas (the Republic of Kazakhstan). Young people participate in international exchange projects under the program “School University Company”. Global cooperation geography of ONHP is expanding from year to year. The company is planning to cooperate with educational institutes of PRC, Singapore, Japan and South Korea.

The strategy of social and economic development of Omsk Region includes the formation of advanced techniques in HR management considering integration processes in education. Therefore, ONHP’s HR management experience was declared at the 10th HR Forum to be one of the best. Efficient HR Policy of the company, training of qualified personnel encourages implementation of best practices and clients engagement as well as boosts competitiveness.
